Man cannot live by bread alone.
"...he needs friends to party with the bread! ..so it's much more fun!"
I started my Saturday by running around the seat of power, I knew I had to because I anticipated food cholesterol the entire day. Watching the men in uniform just anywhere I ran is cholesterol itself. Well, of course, "many are called but few are chosen." *lols.
My nephew, Kirby, celebrated his 1st birthday, we had the party reserved at Seko San in SM Megamall, had the entire place for the kiddie games, catching up with relatives and of course with friends and neighbors whom I barely meet, with it the eat-all-you-can treat for everybody. It was sumptuous.
I had a short notice to my college friends and texted them a couple of days before the event, and gladly, they arrived. God, have we changed! Most of my friends met their significant others from our school.. and apparently, they end up with each other. They were married and now starting their own families.. some have kids of their own, and some still yet to come.
Which made me think. Christ.. we went to the same school where you all did, why didn't I end up with someone from there too, or find someone, at least. But then, it's not much a deal.
My body was tired, I felt (even now) my muscles are contracting, I did push-ups after my cardio exercise that morning, and I started feeling the results.. I love the feel of pain though, but I just feel helpless and useless.. *lols.
Anyway, after the mall events, I went with some of the gems in Makati to start the Halloween weekend.
Learned that "Bed Space" will be an open bar and there'll be free-flowing drinks. But it will happen probably around 1:00 in the morning when the bar is already filled-up with backless women. eew! *lols.
We cannot wait that long, so, finished our cocktails and creme brulees... Malate, here we come.
I cannot believe that the party there was so BORING. I mean, gay parties are one of the best there is, it's even a popular event among the social endeavors but we were having a thought that Malate's parties are turning bland.
It's like, there are no highlights, well, the fact that there were so many gay people out there partying, but there's not much of an affair! I mean, it's like a rush hour of being in the gay scene, or the need to dance, but that's just about it.
There were some who obviously showed effort for the night by coming up with costumes and went drag but was that all..!? Good Lord.
So we engaged ourselves instead to a laughing night and usual life interrogations and analysis of the current and stuffed ourselves at Cafe Adriatico, a classique environment.
I never thought I would be that uninterested with Malate parties, when we plan to go there, I get excited because of the fun we could have not to mention the cute guys we can go party with all night but last night, it was like a night I can have just about any weekend.
Yet, being with friends of course. that's all that matters.
